Alpine Meadows

Once Alpine Meadows Ski Area started spinning its lifts in 1961 it was only a matter of time before several subdivisions sprang up in this lovely canyon. This authentic mountain community is punctuated by the granite walls of Granite Chief Wilderness and nearby Bear Creek.

With quick access to less-crowded world-class skiing and a myriad of hiking/biking/rafting opportunities, it’s no wonder that Alpine Meadows living is desirable.

Alpine Meadows Stables provides backcountry trail rides with gentle horses.
Alpine Springs Community Park offers residents summertime amenities such as tennis courts, a swimming pond, and picnic areas. Plus, you can’t beat the location with Tahoe City, Truckee, and Reno all just a short drive away.

In 2011, Alpine Meadows joined Squaw Valley USA to operate as one resort. Currently snow sport enthusiasts partake in both resorts depending on conditions. And there is talk of a new Gondola connecting the two resorts in the future.

The Alpine Meadows neighborhood is comprised of 3 distinct subdivisions: Alpine Meadows Estates, Juniper Mountain, and Bear Creek. There are also 5 condo and townhome complexes. Condos prices start at $400,000. and home prices start at $850,000. but typically extend beyond $1,000,000, especially for homes located in Juniper Mountain or Deer Park.
